Gerardo Barbero[ edit ]

Gerardo Barbero (1961 – 2001) was an Argentine chess grandmaster. He was Argentine champion in 1984 and Chess Olympiad team board one in 1990.

Barbero had a win against Bent Larsen in Buenos Aires in 1991 (moves given in algebraic chess notation):

He died of cancer in Budapest, Hungary.
