Das Fianchetto-System der Wiener Partie wurde von Louis Paulsen 1873 in die Praxis eingeführt. Die Absicht war mit einem ruhigen Aufbau die Entwicklung abzuschließen und dann im Zentrum anzugreifen. Dazu diente auch die Kontrolle des Läufers über die Felder e4 und d5. Viele berühmte Spieler wendeten sie an, z.B. Nigel Short, Wassili Smyslow und Boris Spasski. Viel Spaß!
