Mathias Gerusel[ edit ]
Mathias Gerusel (* 5. Februar 1938) ist ein deutscher Schachspieler.

Mathias Gerusel wurde 1955 Deutscher Jugendmeister. Bei der Jugendweltmeisterschaft 1957 erreichte er den 2. Platz hinter William Lombardy. Im Jahr 1968 erhielt er von der FIDE den Titel Internationaler Meister verliehen.

Mathias Gerusel war als Jurist im Bundesfinanzministerium tätig.

  • Büsum 1969: 3. Platz
  • Solingen 1974: 5. Platz
  • Deutsche Meisterschaft 1976 Bad Pyrmont: 2.-5. Platz
