Fridrik Olafsson

Friðrik �lafsson (* 26. Januar 1935 in Reykjavik) ist ein isl�ndischer Schachgro�meister.

1952 wurde er erstmals Landesmeister, insgesamt errang er diesen Titel sechs Mal. 1959 nahm er am Kandidatenturnier f�r die Schachweltmeisterschaft teil und belegte dabei den 7. Platz.

Von 1978 bis 1982 war er Pr�sident des Weltschachbundes FIDE.
