Das interessanteste Merkmal der Englischen Eröffnung aus Sicht des stärkeren Spielers dürfte sein, dass sehr viele Zugumstellungen möglich sind. Das hängt meist von Schwarz ab, wie er sich aufbaut, aber auch von Weiß, wie er den ein oder anderen Aufbau bekämpfen möchte.
