The Knight´s Tango, also known as the Mexican Defense or the Black Knight´s Tango is a chess opening that begins d4 Nf6 c4 Nc6. This position can also be reached by transposition by d4 Nc6. Originally used by Carlos Torre, it was rediscovered by International Master Georgi Orlov, who wrote a successful book on it. In fact, the opening came to be used by a number of very serious players, including Joel Benjamin, Larry Christiansen, and Alex Yermolinsky. Indeed, Yermolinsky ventured it against the likes of Garry Kasparov.
