Pia Cramling[ edit ]


Pia Cramling (born 1963) is a Swedish chess player. During the 1980s, she was considered one of the strongest female players in the world. She has also excelled in tournaments in which both men and women compete. In 1992, she was awarded the title of grandmaster by the International Chess Federation (FIDE). Cramling, married to the Spanish grandmaster Juan Bellon, lived in Spain for a number of years. She won the 2003 European Championship.
